Mixing historical family photos with images I’ve shot over the years. I love the creepiness of them, especially my cousin Josephine as a baby staring into the red light.
This happened a month ago and I am ashamed that it has taken me this long to make a post about it. Sheesh. The ASID Awards Gala was interesting and we sat with a winner, Kassie from Kasabella.
Below is her winning design, which was my favorite all night.
Last night we checked out the Museum of History and Industry because they were having a free re-opening day. It was a good way to spend some time on a Saturday evening. For someone who studies history, it was a bit condescending, but I get what they were shooting for 😛
A friend recently told me that I should just never leave the house without a camera. Last night I really wished that I had taken that advice. So, please to enjoy these crappy phone pics from an unprepared over-sharer.
I’ve been watching a lot of Twin Peaks again lately. I am remembering why I loved it the first time around. I was 10 when it aired and my mom was slightly worried that it was my favorite show. But, it’s like stepping back in time. Cherry pie and coffee and saddle shoes. Audrey Horne was always forefront in my mind watching the show. I realized that her character and the way she was styled is part of what made me such a retrophile, or rather, showed me there is some twisted place in modern society for people who love to dress from the past.
Also, I’ve decided that it is perhaps not worth moving my blog over here and that I will maybe just move some selected things here and there as I see fit.
